Not quite what I expected. To change the tax rate I've got to press the "i" button about 64 times and go through various contortions to get it to work. When I use my finger to change the number of people and move horizontally, nothing happens. I accidently moved my thumb vertically & the number of people changed!! Not ready for prime time.

The 1.1 update fixes a lot of the usability issues. I'll be uploading 2.0 tonight which tweaks a few more things.

tip amount

Postby mookie » Sat Jul 26, 2008 2:33 pm

i just downloaded the new check please and it's very pretty, but....

the "i" button is unreponsive

I didn't see where it shows the actual amount of the tip. when filling out restaurant charge slips, i liked being able to set the percentage and then just copy over the tip amount without having to go back and subtract. am i missing something here?

You need to turn on expert mode on the backside/preference screen. Keep trying. I found using the flat of my finger sometimes works better for hitting the "i". Although the "i" button size is about 17x17 pixels it really seems like it is only 1x1.

The "i" button has the tiniest hit area in the universe. I uploaded 2.0 yesterday and I had to change the default size of the button to make the hit area much bigger. It should work better when Apple let's 2.0 out.
