Thanks for updating the bug report!

I've added a fake account as well and tracking daily postings. I'll post if I'm seeing the same thing - 12:00AM after a few postings. Maybe it happens on the 3rd posting?

For now, I'm manually posting from the 'Repeating Transactions' section so the correct date carries over.

Nothing changed in PMiOS, so I'll have to see what happens tomorrow.

BTW, I created a NEW bug report up on Mantis: http://bugs.catamount.com/view.php?id=3901

I'm experiencing the same thing.

I just did a little experiment. I created a daily RT with a time of 06:00. It posts correctly the first time then subsequent postings are at 00:00 even though the RT still shows the correct time. However, if I set to Post 5 days in advance and create a RT for tomorrow at 06:00 then ALL transactions for the next 5 days are posted with the correct time of 06:00. Then the next one is posted with 00:00 even though the RT still shows the correct time. It appears that the time is correct on all RTs posted the very first time, but all others reset to 00:00 even though the RT still shows the correct time. If I edit the RT to reset the time (even though is still shows the correct time), the next posting will be correct and then subsequent postings will revert to 00:00 even though the RT still shows the correct time.

This is an improvement since in previous versions the time in the RT would also be reset to 00:00. At least the time is retained in the RT even if it isn't posted correctly. This seems like a really easy fix. I hope Hardy can correct it for the next version.

Well, this morning, April 19th, the transaction that had posted yesterday with the correct time of 8:02, processed today with a time of 0:00, and tomorrow's transaction also posted with a time of 0:00.

So it looks like an RT will post/process correctly for only 48-72 hours, but then defaults to 0:00 or 12:00 A.M.

I added a note to the bug report I opened.

I've discovered that a RT will only post correctly the first time (but for all transactions posted the first time if post in advance is set to more than 0), then subsequent posts have 00:00.

Mine posted 12:00AM instead of 8:00AM. I also tried your suggestion of switching up the current date and this also posted other transactions to 12:00AM. I changed them back to 8:00AM. Hopefully they'll stick for the next month.

However, I found that if I go into the Repeating Transactions section and tap on Post on a transaction, I get a popup confirming I want to post and then another popup asking if I want to use today's date or old date. I tap on 'Keep old date'. When I go back to the account view, the correct time of 8:00AM is shown.

Since this worked, I am going to try to see if I edit a repeating transaction to 'Display Notification on Post Date', then I may get the question to either use today's date or old date.

Curare,

I can confirm that this works! Yea!

Funslinger,

I just added your quote above as a note to the bug report. http://bugs.catamount.com/view.php?id=3901

It's 7:40 A.M. and I just checked my test account. Today's RT that posted yesterday with a time of 0:00, which I edited back to 8:02, processed with the 8:02 time. However, tomorrow's RT posted with the 0:00 time.

Ok, that supports Funslinger's observation that the RT time will be maintained for one repetition, then revert to 12:00AM.

I have been trying to use the 'Display Notification on Post Date' in the Edit Repeating section, but I'm not sure if I understand how it works. So, I am turning off that switch and manually posting from the Repeating Transactions section. I'm weary about the notification because I did get a posting popup for my fake daily account, but it kept trying to post the same date, which created multiple duplicates. Anyway, just a heads up in case anyone decides to switch to the notification method.

I gave the 'Display Notification on Post Date' another try and tracked it for a few days. I think it serves as a great alternative while Hardy works out the exact time bug. I set up a test account and scheduled $1 to post everyday at 1:11PM and to receive a notification when new transactions in the future are posted. Initially, I was getting duplicate entries, and I think this is also another bug. I currently have PM to post transaction 61 days into the future. The posting notification got stuck on the second transaction. Here are the steps I took to get it working properly:

1) Set up a repeating transaction without enabling the 'Display Notification on Post Date' switch
2) Let transactions post for the number of days shown in the 'Repeating Transactions' settings section (I have mine set up for 61 days)
3) Go to the Repeating Transactions on the main page
4) Select the new repeating transaction that you set up
5) Edit the time if it has been reset to 12:00AM.
6) Now enable the 'Display Notification on Post Date' and type in the number of days in advance you want to be notified. In my case, I also set this to 61 days.

Now when a transaction is being posted 61 days in advance, I get a notification, which then will ask me if I want to keep the old date. This retains the time I want it to show!

Another minor bug is that Notification Center shows the same notification every half hour or so and it doesn't get cleared even if I open PM from Notification Center. So I could have about 4 notifications for the same transaction if I am 2 hours late in posting a transaction. Minor inconvenience, because I just 'clear' the notifications once I done confirming the transaction posting.

Do you think your work-around should be added as a note to the bug report? http://bugs.catamount.com/view.php?id=3901

Sure, feel free to add it to the bug. Extra documentation can't hurt, right? Maybe the coding used for notification can help figure out what needs to be tweaked on the automatic posting.

Thanks!
