bug: budget crashes in v4.0

Postby akispapa » Tue Mar 27, 2012 9:55 am

Hi,
after installing version 4.0 today I was not able to view the yearly budget of 2011. It would freeze the application and at some point I had to restore the data.
The monthly budget would work though, but not for July 2010. I looked but couldn't find something weird or incosistent registered in this month.
Anyone noticed the same issue?

rgds,

I'm also having budgeting problems. Although I'm delighted that budgets can now be varied, when I do, they are a month out! It's something to do with the first <date budget, but I can't fix it, any ideas?

This has the feel of a Beta version, I'm afraid. :( I'm glad I haven't upgraded yet. Too bad the app will now remain hanging in the App Store, preventing me from using the "Update All" button.

It's one of the worst things about iOS that you can't roll back to an earlier version of an app, and you're stuck with a non-working version of an app (and potentially a corrupt database), until its developer wakes up and fixes things. Quite apart from PocketMoney, it's really a bad system. There should be a rollback feature in iOS.

Actually most developers probably have a fix done within 24 hours; it is slow-poke Apple that drags their feet. One reason I'll refuse to have anything to do with the Mac App Store if I ever get an Intel Mac.

The issue that you are experiencing is related to you having a category budget item set to Half-Year and viewing your budget by Year.

I have it fixed for the next release and submitting it to apple right now.

I'll post a how to work around the problem next.

My one is crashing too. Stops at the splash screen then exits. I sometimes randomly am able to get in (after persistently relaunching and force closing the app.)

I do not have *any* category budget items set to half year and do not view my budget yearly.

There might be a different cause. I wanted to do some digging into the cause, but couldn't get the program to open.

System: iPhone 4 (16GB); iOS 5.0.1 (Installed a few days before signing closed); Non-JB
