Reviews for PocketMoney - if you like please review

The AppStore is notorious for users slamming their competitors of their friends apps with 1 star reviews. Due to the broken AppReview system there isn't really anything I can do about. There's no way for me to contact the 1 star reviewers and find out their issue. So when ever a new release of an app appears it is very vulnerable to bad reviews.

I don't want any of my users slamming others apps.

But, I would like you to leave a nice review if you like PocketMoney so the latest version has some nice 4 & 5 star reviews in it.

Also, when you "Sort by Most Helpful" you'll notice the three most helpful reviews are from version 1.0, but they are are 1 star reviews. One of them is about me not having a support system....which has always been false.

It sucks that Apple allows people the "game" the AppStore in this way - they should act against people who engage in this kind of behaviour.

For my part, I'll give fair and honest reviews to every application I use... and for PocketMoney that's a 5.

It's not so much gaming the AppStore that worries me at this point. I just released 3.0.4 for the iPad and when you go to look at the reviews it shows the "Most Helpful". The most helpful reviews are from version 1.0 from two years ago because they were the reviews that had a lot of users clicking on whether the review was helpful or not. For version 1.0 I'd agree with the most helpful status. Since version 1.1... these reviews are worthless.

Great app. Unfortunately there's a big bug in version 3.0.4. All new transactions are saved with dec 31st or Jan 1st 2001. Also updating a transaction saves it with the same date.

Sadly, that's simply not true. Presumably it's something to do with your setup. If you can describe a little bit more of what's going on, someone may be able to help you sort it out. Just calling it a 'bug' when it's not won't solve anything.

PocketMoney Prefs > Miscellaneous > "Last saved date for new transactions" is ON. It needs to be set to OFF for it to use the current date. Otherwise it uses the date of the last time you saved a transaction.

It depends on what country you are in. The reviews are local to each country's iTunes store. There are a couple dozen reviews in the US store.

A super app! Have tried a few and this one by far the most useful! One small recommended improvement that could help me analyze my data and trends in net worth: it would be good if you. An also generate reports by asset class (all bank accounts or cash equivalents, all liabilities, all real estate assets, all equity stock holdings, auto, etc In a certain period, as well as its growth over time.

I never really review apps but I just did for Pocket Money and gave it 5 stars. I love the app and the support. Used to use this baby on a Palm then I got cool and moved to a Handspring Visor! Ah, the good ol' days.

Found a bug on the latest version of PM for iPhone.

Under "All Transactions", if I set the filter's Class AND Category (mine is Chinese version so the field names might not be so accurate) to dedicated values, then some of the transaction filtered out are duplicated. Those duplicated transactions aren't really duplicated if I look from the accounts where the transactions took place. If I modify any dupilicated transaction from the filtered screen, then it will be really duplicated.


Please take a look at this issue.
