I don't think Hardy has ever promised this in a particular version. If it comes I think it's a little way off in the future somewhere.

Net Worth Incorrect Calculation in PocketMoney

Hello,
I keep getting incorrect values for my networth in PocketMoney... i'm using the latest version - i've noticed this for all versions... especially since i purchased the reporting add on for pocketmoney that shows one's net worth along the top of the iphone page.
I checked and the RRSP section is not being calculated properly... all i see are zero's for each of my contributions and also it doesn't seem to be picking up the latest value of my mutual funds.
I'd like to duplicate the net worth calculation that shows in Quicken...
I'm willing to share screenshots if necessary.

I'd appreciate any assistance that can be provided.

This would be a great functional enhancement. I used to use Quicken on PC for all personal finance - but as Intuit pulled their product from UK I've been at a functional dead-end. So, I've shifted to PocketMoney. The only thing missing from PocketMoney is the portfolio management functionality. I'd suggest you start with a basic portfolio valuation tracker - using standard codes and price lookup from Yahoo! Building over time to be in line with Quicken securities functionality. Thanks!

I need to be able to enter date of purchase, number of shares, cost in USD or HKD, symbol(s) (some stocks I own in different brokerage accounts with different base currencies). I need to track cost basis (amount paid per share) and it needs to be adjusted for splits and stock dividends. When I sell shares, I need to be able to allocate sales across lots, for instance:

1/4/07 buy 1000 shares Bank of China for $3 HKD/ share
1/15/07 buy 1000 shares Bank of China for $3.50 HKD/ share
3/1/07 buy 500 shares Bank of China for $0.50 USD/ share
5/1/08 split 2:1 Bank of China
6/12/10 sold 3000 shares Bank of China for $0.75 USD/ share...1000 had a cost basis of $0.25 USD from 3/1 and 2000 had a cost basis of $1.50 HKD from 1/15.

In my portfolio, Inow have 2000 shares with a cost basis of $1.75 HKD purchased on 1/15/07

I also need to track dividends. A portfolio screen is a must listing all stocks, yields, prices, etc. I currently use Quicken for all of this, but they don't have currencies and don't work on the iPad, so being able to import from Quicken would be a huge plus (I have 22 years of purchases I'm not looking forward to re-entering.

Is there any news on the development of this useful feature for Pocket Money?

Given that this is apparently slated for 3.3 (see Hardy's post above) and 3.2 has not been produced, I don't think there's any more news to be had.

Ah, 3.2 isn't out yet; IIRC 3.1.6 is to be submitted to Apple soon. Hardy has stopped giving out "estimated" release dates (and rightly so IMO) because as soon as a date passes he is bombarded as to why it wasn't released. MY personal view as a user is 3.2 by the end of this year; 3.3 by the end of 2012.

It is possible implement this funcionality in this year? ( shares) And the budget function? I am using in 2012 the Ibear Money 4 for shares, The Ibear 5 for Variable Budget , the PocketMoney for historic information, and spreadsheet for Cash Flow. All of apps are full and i need a mobile soluction.
PS. I love the pocketmoney, for history and for interface.

I use PocketMoney all the time for all my accounts except my stocks. I'd love to load my stocks into PocketMoney.

Well since it took about 18 months to get the budgeting working well enough for release, I suspect that it will be another year or two at least before something even more complex as investment tracking is good enough to be released.
