I was a long time user of Quicken for Mac. Having just bought a new iMac I could no longer use Quicken 2005. I read that there was an upgrade, but when I tried to purchase it I discovered that it was only for US addresses. The final straw was their “help” page which suggested that Mac users operate Windows to be able to make use of Quicken!
I started to search for a replacement and remembered that I had had PocketMoney on my iPad for ages. I had used it minimally for travel. I was delighted to learn that there was a desktop version. I downloaded the trial, and had virtually no problems porting over my Quicken file (which goes back to 2001).
This morning I have put my whole file on my iPad. The sync appears to have been successful. I have a couple of questions from that:
1) on my iPad I expected to see balances for all my various accounts. Only the Visa balance appears. Is that expected, or do I have to change some preference?
2) I have some old accounts - no longer used - that have shown up on the iPad. I want to make sure that I can delete them with no problems? Also, should I do something to prevent their showing up again on another sync?
