Removing many photos attached to transactions

Hi,

Just trying out Pocketmoney desktop after over a year of using the iPhone version and love it, thankyou!

I was just wondering if there is an easy way in desktop to remove in bulk a lot of photos from old transactions (I have hundreds and run out of space on iPhone so though that might help!). I found a folder called "documents" in the pocketmoney folder on my desktop that has all the photos in. Would I be safe to delete those files and that would get rid of them all insider pocketmoney too when I sync? Or would it cause problems?

I know how to delete them one at a time in the PM interface but finding it very cumbersome and hard to keep track of which one I am on as I don't think there's a way to search for transactions with photos (?) and the screen always resets to the top when I save a transaction having deleted the photo.

Thanks a lot - and loving the product, either way!Really looking forward to seeing charts in the desktop version as they work so well in the iPhone one too.

There is no easy way to do this, however you can try this.
-Backup up the pocketmoney desktop file.
-Open up the PocketMoney Desktop file directly in a program like SQLite Database Browser
-Delete the information from the image column in the transaction table.
-Delete all the photos from the harddrive (in the pocketmoney/documents folder on the desktop).
-Delete the app from the iphone, re-download it and use PocketMoney Sync to restore from the desktop.

This should remove all the photos, if you want to delete them prior to a certain date, only delete the images from the harddrive/pocketmoney file prior to that date. If you don't have any experience with sql and would like more help, you can email the .pocketmoney file directly to me (eric@catamount.com) and i can delete the images from the pocketmoney file for you.

Thanks for the tips - managed to do that after a bit of trial and error, and seems to have done the trick! More than 100mb saved and it has stopped crashing so much (I guess the data got too big/messy!) Very much appreciate your help thanks.
