I would like to go away from Quicken and use both the Pocket Money iPhone app and the desktop app together. I do not have a wi-fi network at home to use SyncDocs, can the sync be done via the usb cable for the iPhone?
Once PocketMoney 3.1 is released, you'll be able to connect to Desktop PM and sync going over the cell network... It will take a bit of setting up though. You will need to setup port forwarding so the iPhone can get to your desktop from outside of you local network. This isn't something I'm going to support because different routers need to be setup differently and some ISPs might not let you do it, but technically it is possible. I'll be putting together a video tutorial on it at some point.
Personally, I'd just buy a $30 wifi router from Staples or Walmart, then you'll have fast internet connection for your iPhone when you are at home (assuming your home computer is on a fast internet connection).

I live out in the boonies and rely on an air card for my internet connection. It is excruciatingly and painfully slow, bringing back memories of dial-up. So my internet is not set up on a wi-fi network. However, I do have an old wireless router in a closet that I'll pull out and see if I can hook that up. We'll see )

Yes, you could "Create Network" on the Mac's wi-fi menu.
(You can do the same thing in Windows, but don't ask me how...i've done it once on Windows, but spent hours other times unsuccessfully setting turning it on in Windows.)
