sync between Pocket Money desktop & Pocket Money for OS4

Hi,

I am trying to sync between Pocket Money desktop & Pocket Money for iOS4 on my iphone.
My date is on the phone.

I follow the instructions to the letter, howver when I select Pocket Money Sync, enter the correct server address and port
ie. server address: 192.168.0.100
Port 9191,
that is exactly the same as the server IP address and port shown in the PM desktop,

and choose select, and get "Conecting to Server" but it never changes status, and I get the spinning wheel on the Pocket Money sync client account on the iphone.

My firewall is off, and I am using a Mac over a wireless network.

Could someone please assist. Any suggestion?

One little glitch which you need to remember is that on PMD, you need to STOP, then START the server. It will only do one sync, then appear to hang if you don't re-set it.

That must be a Windows thing, Tom, as I don't have to do it on my iMac.

For the OP: this forum is for the third-party software, SyncDocs. Please use the appropriate PMiOS and/or PMD forums for PocketMoney Sync questions, as you'll have better "exposure" for your question.

When I am going to have a session with my "Bills", the first thing that I do is to sync my phone to PMD, this gets any transactions added to the phone during the last few days onto PMD. It also updates any outstanding RT's on the phone.

I then go through any receipts in my wallet and add them to PMD. I will then go to my bank website and clear any transactions that need it.

After all that, I want to sync again but I need to stop then start the server again as it appears to be a "One Shot Sync"

I have reported it in Mantis, but as it is not a show stopper, it must be fairly low priority.

Ah, it must be the bank download that causes it. I synced PMD 4 times in a row with my iPhone and iPad today. I'd forgotten to add a transaction so I had to do another sync with each device. And now, I have to enter an ATM withdrawal and sync both devices again with PMD.

I think you were right at the beginning, it's probably a Windows thing.
