Any updates coming?

Or has MPG reached its EOL for the iPhone?

I know you've been busy with PocketMoney.

I'll be working on MPG end of Jan/Feb. Now that I got graphs and things working in PM, I'll be bringing graphs and some other things to MPG.

Graphing Pics?

Postby TehMoonRUlz » Tue Apr 13, 2010 9:38 pm

I have been using Road Trip LE because it has a really nice splash screen with tons of stats and a visually appealing graph. Does MPG have anything like that? I really like PocketMoney but for me to purchase MPG I would like to see some graphing/stats pictures. Will this be implemented anytime soon?

Charting is planned, but I haven't had time to get to it yet. Still busy with PocketMoney updates. It will probably be mid summer for the MPG update

Hardy,

I don't know how significant it would be, but it would be nice if there were somewhere other than "service" to enter expenses like car payments, registration and insurance. Those three items add up to a significant amount of money, and would definitely affect the cost per day calculations. From there it's an easy step to see total cost vs. service costs and calculate things like when it would be best to buy a newer car etc.

Thanks for you consideration and longtime support of MPG!

Update on MPG... I'm hiring some interns this summer to help me get caught up on all of my projects. I'll probably have one of them working on MPG - updating for iPad, adding charts, fixing some other issues with it, and improving the integration with PocketMoney.

Hey Hardy -

Any updates on the updates for MPG? I'm working with quirks on the app and they seem to be getting "worse" or rather more irritating with each OS update.

For example - having to enter in the odometer multiple times as it doesn't retain the original milage put in. And now it doesn't seem to add up the mileage properly. It seems to be off by a few tenths of a mile. I "fix" it on every fill up (adding a few tenths to get it to match my odometer) but it seems to keep happening.

I'm running 1.4.2 with OS4 on an iPhone 4.

Thanks Hardy!

I'm running 1.4.2 on iPhone 4 with iOS 4.2 and not seeing any issues with odometer. I don't use tenths, but testing now doesn't seem to have any issues.

Give me some more steps on how to reproduce this and I'll look into it.

Hardy, any possibility of implementing iTunes File Sharing in MPG, soon? Also, what is the status of issue number 0000868? The last update, June 11, 2010, on Mantis is that it had been assigned.

868 is very involved. If I get an intern this summer, I'll probably have them work on it. (It was on the intern's list last summer to work on).

I submitted 1.4.3 to AppStore for you with the iTunes Document Sharing enabled. It also fixes a couple of memory leaks.
