    @Marc,

The QIF importing amounts as zero is a bug in PocketMoney 3.0.7. I’ve fixed it for the next release.

Hi, now i am using the pocketmoney apps for ipad and i have a problem with editing information. When i edit the transaction e.g. changing date, changing from withdraw to deposit or changing category, the amount always set to $0.0 everytime eventhough i click saved already. Can you fix the problem? I don’t want to type all the amount again every time.

    amy,

I can’t reproduce your bug. I need more information. What version of PocketMoney do you have installed? Are you on an iPad or iPhone/Touch.

i am contemplating whether to use your pocket money software for my iphone. i have several queries though:

    1. is there a desktop version of Pocket money that has the exact or better window where i can update my transactions? is the latest version able to sync between the iphone and the desktop?
    2. can the iphone pocket money sync wirelessly with the ipad version?
    3. or can Pocket money sync directly w my MS Money 2006 version? at the moment, i am using ultrasoft money software on my PDA using windows mobile OS which can sync directly with my MS Money application in the desktop.
    4. if i buy pocket money application for iphone, do i have to buy separately for the version for IPAD and the desktop or is it a package altogether?

    Jun,

    1. There is a desktop version in development. You can download the pre-release beta version from the forum for the desktop software. http://www.catamount.com/forums/
    2. Version 3.1 will add the ability to sync between multiple iOS devices. (I’ll be submitting it to Apple this week for approval).
    3. PM cannot sync directly. You must use QIF files. (Watch the video tutorial on working with MS Money and PM here: http://catamount.com/iPhoneApps/PocketMoneyHelp/index.php?content=2)
    4. If you buy PM for iPhone then you do not have to buy it for the iPad. The desktop software is a separate price at $19.95 for the intro price. You will need to either have PM for desktop for purchase the PM Sync Server as an In-App-Purchase ($9.99) – if you sync everything to desktop then you don’t need the IAP. If you want to sync between iPhone and iPad then you will need to buy the IAP.

Hi! This soft is great. All my money depends of it! (so i don`t really think it`s so good) just kidding!
Now really.. it`s great, but it will be greater if there is a desktop version and could sync them.
It`s something like that on your mind? Or does somethin like this exists?

    Thanks for all!

I wanted to know if you are going to make Pocket Money for the android and I just happened to look at your post of the android app you created which briefly mentioned Pocket Money coming later in the year… is this true? I would be soooo happy!!! Especially if you have all of the same features as the one you have available now. I can’t wait!

I have pocketmoney on my ipad, and when i export QIF to my quicken 2003, the date show 100 years wrong, like 1910 instead 2010.
please tell me how can solve this, or if it a bug that you most fix it.
    thanks

  12. Hardy Macia says:

You need open the QIF file with a text editor to see what format Quicken 2003 is exporting the date as. (Scroll to bottom of file and look for line starting with a ‘D’, the date will be after it and can be mm/dd’yy or mm/dd’yyyy or mm/dd/yy or mm/dd/yyyy or some other variation.

Once you figure out the format that Quicken 2003 is exporting, then go into PocketMoney’s Prefs > Data Transfers > QIF Options and set the Date Format to match what Quicken is exporting. Then import the data again — if it is your first time importing and you want to replace the bad data with the new data, then choose the “restore from desktop…” option to import the qif data – this will delete everything from PM and import the QIF file fresh.

    Dear Sirs
I’ve been using pocket money on my iphone for about 1 year (Last version is 3.0.8), but I could not understand how to export the “categories” of expenses for a certain period (1 month, 2 months, 6 months…), in order to print and analyse in Excel the summary for that period.
Before using Pocket Money, I used Cash Organizer for Win Mob 6, and that software had this possibility.

Thanks for your cooperation and quick answer.

    Kind regards

    Andrea

You can set a filter for the date range you want to look at, then choose Tools, File Transfers, email/wifi and select CSV or TDF file format to export the transactions to your desktop.
