New Hampshire is interesting in that it has one of the largest legislative bodies in the world with 400 state representatives, and legislators only get paid $100 per year. The election is in November.

When I added ads to CheckPlease LITE  I had the same complaints so I knew it was coming, but CheckPlease LITE customers have gotten over it, and I’m now making a reasonable revenue off the ads in CheckPlease.

I expect the greedy anti-ad people to go away, but it really makes me want to just stop all future development on the LITE version of the app and to pull it from the AppStore. It would probably boost sales of the full version of PocketMoney since users would need to buy the full version to try it out.

And, I gave those user the warning that ads were coming in this update so they could have stayed at version 3.0.7 for all eternity without ads.

So, I added ads to it to make some revenue in PocketMoney LITE 3.0.8, and heres the current feedback…

“Why did you take a perfectly good, simple app and mess it up with ads.  I know there is a paid version for $4.99, but too is not competitive with other apps that do more.

Recommend dropping the paid app price to $0.99~$1.99, like all other apps of this category….” – mgkg3
Because it’s a full blown personal financial app that is worth $30 or more if you buy it for the desktop. You can’t cover your support costs on a $1.99 app.

No one is forcing you to use a different app. If you don’t want ads, then upgrade to the full version.

The ads haven’t changed how the app works at all. Greedy is wanting something for free and bitching at the developer because they want to make some money.

“I liked this app a lot. I started using it because mobile money was erring out. Then they put Ads into it and this because a problem to use. I hate seeing ads in an app. It messing everything up when your entering information. This was honestly one of the best ones out there until they did this change. I warned users in the update notes that ads were in this version. The ads don’t affect entering information because they don’t show up on the edit transaction screen when you are entering information when the keyboard is active.

LOL! Continuing to let users use PocketMoney LITE for free is greedy how? And, I’m only charging $4.99 for the full version. I should be charging $29.99. There is no greed here.

Won’t buy the full version now? Be honest with yourself. You weren’t ever going to buy the full version.
“Previous iterations of this app were quite good but the latest update inserted imbedded advertising.  These ads cause the app to run very slowly and to become completely unresponsive to user inputs for upwards of 7-8 seconds at a time.  Avoid this app.” – Stinkdtich
This could almost be a legit complaint, but ads are loaded in the background which means they aren’t affecting the speed. Suggestion for users, email support@catamount.com with your issues and they can probably be fixed.

How about spending the price of a pack of cigarettes, or a couple slices of pizza, or a coffee at Starbucks, or a beer at a baseball game? The full version is extremely cheap at only $4.99.
