CheckPlease is a simple tip calculator for calculating the tip or for splitting the bill evenly among multiple people.

Features include:
• Post the amount of the bill directly to PocketMoney.
• Split the bill among multiple people.
• Option to not tip on the tax.
• Uses your local currency or optionally pick a currency.

There are two versions of CheckPlease:
• ”CheckPlease AF” is an ad free version of CheckPlease and costs $0.99.
• “CheckPlease” displays an ad at the top of the screen, but is free.

CheckPlease 4.2.3 approved by Apple

In a surprise move Apple approve CheckPlease the same day I submitted it for approval.

Changes in version 4.2.3

  • Tapping (X) when Check Total field is selected will ask if you want to clear all the fields. Tap no will just clear the Check Total field.
  • Fixed some bugs when modifying amounts.
  • Resetting by shaking will reset the tip rate field also.

CheckPlease 4.1 uploaded to AppStore for review

I uploaded CheckPlease 4.1 to AppStore, and it is now waiting for Apple to approve it.

Changes in 4.1 include:
• The option to turn on the heads up display to see how the bill is being calculated is now available in the lite version.
• Full version added support for adding a coupon/discount back into subtotal so tip is calculated on full subtotal amount.• German, Portuguese, Italian localizations.
• Bug fixes.

CheckPlease 4.0 submitted to Apple. Awaiting approval.

I submitted version 4.0 of CheckPlease to Apple today.

Version 4.0 Changes:

• Made the icon square again.

• Keypad buttons are shinier.

• Heads up display that allows entering of subtotal, tax, check total, and tip.

• Help Screen displayed first time application is launch

• Added Watch Video button to Help Screen that launches the the CheckPlease video tutorial.

• Preference to set the category to post transactions to in PocketMoney.

• Increased number of people to split the check between to 100.

• Bug fix: a tip for very small check totals (less than $2.00) could become negative.

CheckPlease Lite does not include the Heads up display.

When I released 3.4 I got a handful of one star reviews for the icon, requesting that I change it back. Last night I received an email pleaing with me to make the icon square so it matches most of the other icons on the iPhone. So, I created poll.

CheckPlease 3.4 submitted to Apple, awaiting approval

I submitted CheckPlease3.4 to Apple today. Give it about 5 days or Apple to approve it.

  • Updated the graphics & new icon (thanks to Image Limited)
  • Added Help
  • Removed the third party ads by MobClix that were in the free version, and now just promoting my own apps.
