Most users want to track their spending by expense category so they can control their spending on Entertainment or Dining Out each month, but other users don’t want that much complication. They just want to set a budget for the month and that’s it. You can do both in PocketMoney and here is one way to do the later.
First go into PocketMoney Settings > Display Options > Budgets and turn on Show unbudgeted and Include unbudgeted in total.
Then head back to the Budgets screen and you want to create an income budget item for what you want your budget for the month. Whether or not you are putting income into this category doesn’t really matter, but if you have a salary or income for the month it will give you a better picture of your spending.

On Budgets screen tap Edit, select Salary, set Type to Income, set Period to Monthly, set Amount to 4000. Tap Save and Done.
You can then collapse each budget section if you don’t want to see the breakdown of your unbudgeted spending. If you do want to see it, then you might want to tap on the budget view icon (eye), and set the Sort On to Actual so it will sort the budget items by amount spent instead of alphabetically by category name.
As you can see from the right image, I’ve budgeted $4000 for the month and spent $111 so far. Saved is showing my the difference between my actual income and actual spent.
