Catamount Software Announces Release of StopWatches 2.0
timers for professional time trackers

ESSEX VT (Nov. 20, 2003))…Catamount Software announces today the release of StopWatches 2.0 for Palm Powered™ handheld computers. StopWatches is a great tool for lawyers, consultants, coaches and others who either must track their time or track others’ time.

“StopWatches allows me to track how the employees are performing on the job without them feeling pressured by me walking around with several stopwatches hanging around my neck.” says Jason Bates, a cost accountant for a company in Portland, Maine.

StopWatches has great flexibility in controlling individual or multiple timers. Timers continue to run if another program is launched or the Palm device is powered off. Coupled with the ability to have up to fifty timers, this makes StopWatches a great tool for lawyers and other professionals who bill by the hour or minute to accurately and easily track their time for each job.

“I wanted to use StopWatches for recording the playing time for my 6th grade basketball team so I was sure everyone played the fair amount of time…[Catamount] went out of their way to refit the program…to make it perfect for recording playing time during games,” says Paul Meeks, 6th grade basketball coach in Albany, New York.

Version 2.0 adds red and green buttons for stopped and started timers, making it easier to quickly determine what is running and what is not in a fast-paced situation such as coaching a basketball game. Timers can be grouped so several can be started, stopped and restarted with a keystroke, which makes line changes as simple and quick as two keystrokes; one to turn a set off and one to turn a set on. Version 2.0 also allows a limit to be set on the number of timers active at the same time so that a coach can limit the timers to the number of players who are supposed to be playing at one time.

StopWatches requires Palm OS 3.5 or newer and is available at http://www.catamount.com/PalmApps/StopWatchesPalm.html.
