Q)When I click on PocketMoney in the Custom Settings window it doesn't open.

There is a new version (4.0.1) of Palm Desktop on Palm's website.

Q)The HotSync log shows says PocketMoney fails due to a (FFFF) error. What do I do?

Q)When synchronizing files between my Palm and my Windows computer, I got one of those errors:
HOTSYNC caused an invalid page fault in module P$COND.DLL at 0167:023c5b4a.

Look at the PocketMoney.qif file that you are trying to install into PocketMoney. Use a text editor like notepad or wordpad to view the file.

If MS Money or Quicken is exporing dates using periods '11.2.2001' instead of slashes '11/2/2001' then this is the problem. Until I fix the conduit to handle periods you will need to tell MS Money or Quicken to export the data in US format. I've had another user use this work around for the present time.

Q)Repeating Transactions: Can I set the amount to zero and just enter the amount for my electic or phone bill each month?

You can set a repeating transaction with an amount of 0.00, but not really. Once the repeating transaction is automatically entered with 0.00 and you change the 0.00 to the amount of your bill then the next time the item repeats it uses the last amount you entered last. This works well for most bills because it is an approximate estimate of what this month's bill will be. I change the value and that's it.

Q)Repeating Transactions: Can I set the repeating transaction to be entered a few days early so it reminds me to pay the bill?

You cannot set the repeating transaction to warn you 2 or 3 days early. What you need to do is set the transaction to repeat 2 or 3 days early. My electric bill is due on the first of each month, but I set my repeating transaction to occur on the 27th of the preceding month to give me a few days to pay it.

Q) I can't enter anything into the password field.

A) The password field only accepts up to four numbers.

Q) I've entered items into the payee popup, but they aren't there anymore.

A) The payee popup is based on the category popup. If you enter payees for when the category is food then you need to select the food category first and then all of the payees you entered under the food category will show up.

Q) How do I delete an account or rename an account?

A) Go to the Account List screen, tap on the 'i' to the left of the account name to open the Account Prefs screen, tap the Delete button to delete the account or change the name and tap OK to rename the account.

Q) I can't find the ToPalm and FromPalm folders.

A) After the Conduit is installed you must HotSync one time so the PocketMoney Conduit can create the folders.
